App costs · 4–6 weeks
How much does an event management app cost in 2026?
Event software is three products in one: discovery for participants, registration with payment, and the organiser's desk where entries, schedules and results live. On the web with an admin it is a Product Build at the low end, $10K–$18K, four to six weeks.
Where the number comes from
Registration alone fits the $5K MVP Sprint: an event page, a form, Stripe, a confirmation. What makes it a platform is the organiser side. Recurring events, categories and capacities, waitlists, participant lists you can edit and export, and results published after the fact. CC Sporting Events, built here, covers twenty sport types and has been used across twenty-seven venues with that shape.
The data model is where the cost is decided. An event with a date and a price is simple. An event series with heats, age groups, team entries, early-bird pricing and a venue calendar is not, and every one of those is a common request from organisers. The scoping call writes down exactly which of them version one has.
Participants arrive from a link or a search, so the web app is the product. Native apps make sense later for check-in at the door and live results, and they are a second Product Build from the same codebase.

What moves the price
Four things that change the number.
Ticketing with seats
Reserved seating, seat maps and transferable tickets are a different product from entries and categories.
Door check-in and live scoring
QR scanning at the venue and scores entered live from a phone want a native app and tolerance for a bad connection.
Timing hardware
Chip timing imports and live splits need integrations with specific vendors' exports, each a day or two.
Several organisers
Opening the platform to other organisers, each with their own events and payouts, turns it into a marketplace with Stripe Connect.

Questions
What people ask about event management app costs.
- Can I start with just registration for $5K?
- Yes. One event or one series, a registration form, Stripe and an organiser's list of entries fits the MVP Sprint. It is the right first step if you run a handful of events a year.
- Do payouts go to me directly?
- Yes. Stripe is in your account and money lands there. If other organisers sell through your platform later, Stripe Connect splits payments and that is scoped as its own step.
- Can participants get refunds and transfers?
- Refund rules per event, including a cut-off date, are part of the scope. Transfers between participants and category changes are handled in the organiser dashboard, or by participants themselves if you choose.
- How long does it take?
- Four to six weeks for the web platform from a signed scope, with a working registration flow by the end of week one and the launch date written into the contract.
